Cancellation Policy

When you commit to a service with us at Polished On Pleasant you agree to the following cancellation policy: If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged. Cancellations made under that window are subject to a fee of 50% of the value of your service. If you miss your appointment completely with no advanced notice, a 100% fee of all services booked will be charged. All charges listed above will be applied to your card on file, which is required to book an appointment.

Collin is a prestigious brand that formulates superior skin care products. We offer a variety of facials and treatments that are tailored to your personal skin care goals and needs.

Types of Treatments in a Facial

Extractions:

During your facial extractions may be performed. It is the process of clearing a clogged or compacted pore by manual or mechanical means. Types of clogging are the following:

Whiteheads form when your skin pores become clogged with dead skin cells, oil and bacteria. Whiteheads are closed within the pore, means air doesn’t enter the follicle and react with the “gunk” inside. In the absence of outside air, they remain white.
Blackheads form when the opening of a hair follicle becomes clogged with dead skin cells, oil, or bacteria. The black color comes from the melanin, a pigment that is present in dead skin cells and sebum (oil). When the melanin oxidizes, you see a dark color.
Pustules are small bumps on the skin that contain fluid or pus.

Chemical Peels:

A technique used to improve and smooth the texture of the skin by promoting the exfoliation of the skin. We use G.M. Collin’s professional line of chemical peels: Latic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Derm-Renewal, and Salicylic Acid. These are mild peels that cause minimal shedding of the skin. Wearing an SPF 30 and above, is highly recommended.

Dermaplaning:

Dermaplaning uses a blade to gently exfoliate outer layer of dead skin cells and remove fine hair commonly known as “peach fuzz”. This procedure produces an immediately more radiant appearance. Following this treatment your G.M. Collin products penetrate deeper making them more effective.

After a treatment your fresh, newly exposed skin will be delicate. You may experience redness or warmth to the skin, that will resolve in 24 hours. It is important that you use a gentle cleanser such as Hydramucine Milk Cleanser and keep the skin well moisturized. Also avoid the use of retinols, and exfoliants for the 24 hours. An SPF is strongly recommended, G.M. Collin offers an SPF 25 or 50.

Adverse side effects of facials and treatments include but are not limited to mild redness or sensitivity, minor superficial grazes, or dryness of the skin. This will all be resolved with your after-care instructions and your skin will be healthy and glowing.

Microneedling:

Also known as collagen induction therapy, Microneedling stimulates the skin’s natural healing processes, which improve the skin’s texture from damage. The skin is repaired with collagen and elastin for a tighter, firmer, and overall luminous appearance.
